BRIEF INTRODUCTION

RUPIN PATCHIGAR

Shri Rupin Rameshchandra Patchigar is a Practicing Chartered Accountant. He is  B.Com.,  LL.B. and  FCA.

Rupin has contributed in various filed of life, such as Education, Industry, Profession, Social Welfare and Art. He is renowned for his versatile personality. His contribution bestowed him with a rare honour of ‘Samarth Gujarati’ by ‘Divyabhaskar Daily’ and included his name among ‘Gujarat 100 Power List’ referring him as “Surat ni Murat”.  

     At present Rupin Patchigar is a General Secretary of Rastriya Kala Kendra since last 25 years. Rupin is also serving Surat Shaher Patrakar Kalyan Nidhi as Trustee.

     Rupin is appointed as Director of ‘Gujarat Unreserved Educational and Economical Development Corporation’ by Gujarat State Government for upliftment of Unreserved Class Persons of Gujarat State.

     Rupin is working as member of ‘Fee Regulatory Committee of Surat Zone for Fee Fixation of Private Sector School of South Gujarat.  He is appointed as member of FRC by Gujarat State Government.

  • Chairman – Surat Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India.
  • Vice Chairman – Western India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India.  
  • President – South Gujarat Productivity Council.
  • President – Gujarat State Jaycees.
  • President – Surat Jaycees.

     As a Chairman of Nagar Prathmik Shikshan Samitee Surat (Municipal School Board, Surat), he has given names to 270 schools run by Surat Municipal Corporation. The Naming Ceremony was performed by the worthy hand of the than Chief Minister and now  Prime Minister of India Hon’ble Shri Narendrabhai Modi. Naming of 270 schools at a time, is a record in it self and therefore, Limca Book of Records has taken note of this record in Limca Book of Records, 2011 Dairy. Thus Rupin Patchigar found a place in Limca Book of Records alongwith Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.  

     As a Chairman of Sarvajanik Education Society which runs 16 colleges, 19 schools and 2 research institutes, he has started Evening Commerce College in Campus of Sir K. P. College of Commerce in 2008. This is the only Evening College of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. Thus Rupin has set a new trend in University Education by establishing Evening Commerce College in South Gujarat.  

Recipient of Awards

(a) Divya Bhaskar Daily News Paper published the book namely ‘Gujarat 100 Power List’ and included the name of Rupin in 100 Powerful Persons of the Gujarat State. Divya Bhaskar felicitated him as one of the 100 ‘Samarth Gujarati’ at Ahmedabad.

(b) Awarded ‘Sanskar Vibhushan Award’ & ‘Sanskar Bharti Award’ by Sanskar Bharti Gujarat Prant by worthy hand of Governor of Gujarat Hon’ble O. P. Kohliji for his contribution in filed of Drama.

(c) Awarded the ‘Best Actor Award of Gujarat State’ in 1978 by ‘Gujarat State Nrutya Natya Academy’

(d) Awarded the ‘Best Actor Award’ and ‘Best Director Award’ by ‘South Gujarat University’ in 1973

(e) Awarded ‘Sanskar Samvardhak Award’ by Rashtriya Kala Kendra for his excellent Contribution in field of Education

(f) Awarded ‘Senatorship’ by ‘Jaycees International’ and ‘Henry Gizembier Fellowship’ by ‘Indian Jaycees’

(g) Selected as member of ‘Group Study Exchange Program of Rotary International’ and sent to U.S.A. by Rotary International in the Year 1984

Other Information

     As a social worker, effective and eloquent Speaker, he earnestly wish and aspire to motivate and inspire youth to evolve positively in their attitude. He has written books, on ‘Public Speaking’, a book on ‘Various Facet of Life’ and a book on success in life, for the benefit of next generation, which is being well received and responded to by the youth and general public.
