Rupin Patchigar by profession is a Chartered Accountant having B.Com., L.L.B., F.C.A. degree to his credit. He has been practicing in the field of auditing and taxation since last 40 years. He has professionally and successfully completed four decades in the field of his profession.
The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India a national body which awards the Chartered Accountant degree all over India has accorded him the office of the Vice Chairman of its western Region comprising of the States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa and Union Territory of Diu & Daman. Due to his strenuous efforts CA Examination Centre was started and an office premises for Surat Branch was purchased.
The Examination Centre for Chartered Accountant students had been started on representation of Rupin Patchigar. Before 1988 the students of C.A. had to go to Ahmedabad, Baroda and Mumbai for Examination. Mr. Patchigar had vehemently represented the case of Surat and ultimately the Institute of C.A. agreed to start Examination Centre at Surat for the benefit of South Gujarat Region. Now a days almost 20,000 students are appearing for the Examination.
Similarly on the representation of Mr. Patchigar the Institute established office at Jaldarshan Apartment, 3rd Floor, Beside Old Court Office, Opp. Navdi Ovara, Nanpura, Surat. At present 4,000 member of C.A. Institute are taking advantage of the said premises.
He has served the Fiscal Law Committee of Chartered Accountant Institute, New Delhi as its member.
At local level he has served as Chairman of Surat branch of ICAI.
